JOIN LEXI'S LEAGUE

Family and friends, who are like family, we are asking for monetary donations on behalf of Alexis (Lexi) Martincek and her family in their fight for medical care for Stage 4 Brain Cancer. Lexi has always been a (softball) team player, now it’s our turn to rally with her as Lexi’s League steps up to the plate.

On March 1st, Lexi told Briana she was having complications with her vision and was immediately seen by her Optometrist. The Doctor told Briana to bring Lexi directly to All Children’s in St. Pete where she had diagnostic testing performed. The testing confirmed Lexi had a large tumor on the left side of her brain. Doctors acted quickly and scheduled Lexi for immediate surgery Friday morning to have the tumor removed. Although the Doctors believe they removed the entire mass, Pathology confirmed our worst nightmares. Lexi was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 brain cancer. While Lexi’s peers are attending school and playing Lexi’s favorite sport, softball, she is embarking on a long road to recovery.

Lexi’s Mom lost her primary source of income after Hurricane Ian destroyed their town, including her job, on the Gulf Coast of Florida. She only recently started back to work part-time, and will most likely need to take leave as Lexi’s treatments will take place daily for a minimum of 6 weeks in Orlando, more than 3 hours from her home. Now, more than ever, Lexi and her family need a team behind them to help them win this fight against Brain Cancer.

A little about Lexi:

Lexi is… a daughter, sister, niece, friend, cousin, athlete, student, and so much more. She easily lights up a room with her positive energy, witty remarks, dry sense of humor, and her little smirk. Through this traumatic time in her life, she still remains true to herself continuing to be a light in all of our lives. While Lexi plays softball, there ain’t nothin’ soft about her, she’s a rock-hard fighter!
