My name is Charity Williams. I have been married to Ryan,my soul mate since 2008. We were married in March, and in June we sought and got temporary custody of my husbands 2 children. By the time November came the kids were doing well socially, medically, and academically. We went back to court and my husband was awarded full custody. Lexi is the youngest and only remembers seeing her mother once since then. Lexi and I have a very close relationship & she is my daughter. The problem is that she grew in my heart and not in my belly. Lexi is terrified that if something were to happen to her dad, her mother would come and take her away. As a result, she has been severly depressed and in a partial hospitalization program for the last 2 months. We are just learning that the root of her depression is her fear of losing me. We have an attorney and have started the adoption process but financially we are struggling to afford Lexi's necessary theraphy and our attorney.
