️LGBT Refugee Activist In Hiding Fundraiser
Donation protected
In Kenya LGBT refugee human rights activists are being targeted . Many receive ongoing death threats and have survived murder attempts, and multiple violent assaults.
In fear for their lives, these refugees are forced to leave the refugee camp and go into hiding. These drastic life saving measures have been implemented by global human rights defenders to protect these refugees who are being hunted by homophobic mobs of people.
Living isolated from the world is difficult for these LGBT activists in hiding. They suffer from depression unable to leave their small living space to go outside. Gilbert Kagarura describes this as,
“I feel like I am living in a prison.”
They live in constant fear of being found in their safe houses and murdered.
These refugees lack basic need items, housing rent, cooking gas, clothing and food. They are completely dependent on donation support to stay alive. In addition to this, we are raising money to be used to assist in a private sponsorship resettlement program in Canada or the USA. Let us ACT NOW to assist in their liberation and freedom from human rights persecution and the constant threat of death.

Let us work together to save the life of someone who has sacrificed everything to defend the vulnerable LGBT community in the Kakuma Refugee Camp.
Gilbert Kagarura, LGBT Refugee Spokesman for the LGBT community in the KakumaRefugee camp, needs your support.
He has been living in hiding for many years now.
He has survived three assassination attempts on his life for being a LGBTQ activist and leader for the community . He was poisoned twice and survived . During another attempt on his life were 2 petrol bombs placed in his shelter when he was sleeping. Only one ignited or he would not have survived. Gilbert still actively receives death threats.
Because of these life-threatening circumstances, Gilbert’s UNHCR asylum case should have been changed immediately to emergency resettlement status. Instead, his case was deactivated by the Kenyan RAS and the Kenyan UNHCR. This deliberate action was to blacklist him from the resettlement process. He is stateless. A man with no country.
Blacklisting activists asylum seekers and refugees from the resettlement process is a common tactic of coercion intimidation used against LGBT activists in the Kakuma Refugee Camp. The purpose is to silence activists who are speaking out against the crimes against humanity and human rights violations the LGBT refugees are experiencing in Kenya. This is a very corrupt and broken system.
Due to this life threatening vulnerability, Gilbert needs to be resettled to save his life. Help us Raise the money he needs for private sponsorship resettlement.
Help us by donating to Gilbert’s Fundraiser.
