LGBTQIA Journalists Therapy Relief Fund
Donation protected
The LGBTQIA community is in danger as the country's conservative legislators and community leaders are doing everything they can to eliminate the rights, and mere existence, of an already marginalized people. Whether or not LGBTQIA journalists are reporting on these issues, their lives are at risk. As an industry, we need to support our peers and ensure that they're getting the mental health care they need at this time, especially when publications themselves fail to pay appropriate wages for journalists to afford these services on their own.

All funding raised through this gofundme will be sent directly to LGBTQIA journalists so they can afford therapy or psychiatric medication. Once the fund reaches $5000, I will distribute funds to those who've applied.
Apply for funding here: https://forms.gle/3auUF1n8tEAdn9JH8 If you're a queer Black journalist, you can apply for funding from the Black Journalists Therapy Relief Fund and if you're a queer AAPI journalist, you can apply for the AAPI Journalists Mental Health Fund. Both of these funds have more money and resources to handle requests at this time
