L&H Cafe Burglary Relief Fund

We have unfortunately been robbed not once, but twice in two weeks. We have never had anything like this happen to us before. We are honest people making an honest living and it’s so unfortunate to have to go thru this.

May 11 we were broken into after hours.The thief broke our door and went straight to the register and damaged our system by cutting the wires and taking our whole register. Our tablet devices were alsostolen in the process. We weren’t able to get the best of footage but I attached thebest photos we could obtain. As a result we had to close for several days, putting us behind on all of our expenses for the building such as internet, gas, water bills.

May 18, exactly one week later at 2am we were broken in again! This time we had no footage because the thieves cut power to our whole building by breaking the breaker box lock. The permanently cut wires that we have to get fixed. They kicked in the door and went straight for our newregister and equipment. They trashed the restaurant, broke our other door and left. We had no idea we had gotten robbed until we came into work the next day and saw we had no power and everything was trashed. As a result, we lost about $600 worth of our food inventory that had gone bad in the heat, and had to get our power box fixed so we could have power in the building.

We are definitely being targeted and it’s so disheartening and discouraging because we put our heart and soul into this community that we grew up in and treat all of our guests with upmost respect and love.

Our plan is to use this money to repair alldamages that occurred during these events, catch us up financially so we can continue to provide service to our community, upgrade our security as well since we donot have the funds to do so.

We will only be using the amount of money required for all these purchases. Whatever money we have left over, we will be donating back to our community because the community has always had our back and showed up support since day one.

Police reports were filed and finger prints were taken for both robberies. We praythat law enforcement finds this thief or thieves sooner than later.
