Liam Finnerty’s 30th - Skydive for Charity

In loving memory & tribute to Liam Myles Finnerty, I thought it would only be fitting to do something extraordinary. Something adventurous, that also brings a fear to face. If Liam taught me one thing, it’s that thinking doesn’t overcome fear, action does.

So, in memory of the most extraordinary, fearless & adventurous man I knew, I thought to myself, what is the most exhilarating & craziest thing to do in honour of Liam, whilst raising as much money as possible for the local charities?

Jumping out of an aircraft 10,000ft above ground sounds like a good start right?

For a great man and in celebration of his 30th birthday, but for a great cause also.

This charity skydive will be on Liams 30th birthday - Friday 20th June 2025. It will be held at the St Andrews Skydive facility just outside of Glenrothes. Myself & 19 of Liam’s closest family & friends will be taking the 10,000ft leap. This is a tandem skydive event, we will be securely attached to a fully qualified & experienced instructor.

As well as a tribute to Liam, this event is to raise as much money as possible for the chosen local charities in his name. We have already raised 1/3 of our target amount thanks to everyone’s donations. The continued support and contributions from the community, friends & family are tremendously appreciated, without your help none of this would be possible.

Delighted to announce the chosen charities for this event are:

TeamHamish - Any fundraising monies received will be used towards developing further ideas for the Links, particularly around their Phase 2 proposals.

Nairn men’s shed️ - Any fundraising monies received will be supporting a safe, friendly & inclusive environment where men can meet & work on meaningful local projects as well as supporting the local community‍.
