Liam Gaffney's Eagle Scout Project

Hello friends. I am seeking to raise funds for my Eagle Scout Project. My Troops sponsor, Faith United Methodist Church of Spring, TX is currently building an organized youth activity center with an extensive storage facility on the back. This area will store extra tables, chairs, tools, learning materials, play equipment, holiday decorations, and all the materials for their elaborate Pumpkin Patch. The church needs sturdy, weatherproof shelving and a secure area for more oversized items. My goal is to provide them with shelving and a storage cage for the bulkier items. All funds raised will go directly to the purchase of materials and supplies for this project, and any remaining funds will be donated to Faith United Methodist Church of Spring, TX.

I joined Scouting as a Tiger cub. We started camping in the Sam Houston State Park, but I branched out to College Station, Galveston, and Sea Base in the Florida Keys, and I have had the honor of traveling to the Philmont Scout Ranch 3 times. I have been privileged to be part of the staff for the National Youth Leadership Training course two times, and this past summer, I was part of the staff for the National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience at Philmont. Over my scouting journey, I have learned the meaning of leadership and companionship, the power of growth and servitude, and most of all, the importance of compassion. This fundraiser is a call to help so that I may reach the apex of my journey by giving back to my community.
