Liam Lause

Donation protected
Liam Lause (11 years old) was taken to the hospital on 12/13 and was thought to have an aggressive form of brain cancer called DIPG. Thankfully we have since learned that it is not a tumor. Liam has an abscess on his brain stem due to an infection caused by the H flu and streptococcus bacteria. Unfortunately this is still a very emergent situation. Due to the location of the infection and how fast it is spreading it is life threatening and very hard to treat, and continues to progress. Since arriving at the hospital, Liam has lost many abilities including walking, seeing, and communicating. On 12/14, he was life-flighted to the University of Iowa Children’s hospital where he has been undergoing many tests, procedures, and treatments to fight this infection! Liam is a goofy, big-hearted, and strong little boy who is loved by so many! Please keep him, and his family; joe, Jana, Isabelle, hunter, and skylar in your thoughts and prayers throughout the biggest fight of their lives.
