Help Liam after losing his father

Our grandson, Liam, is 3 & 1/2 years old.  He just lost his father to suicide.  It wasn't at all that his Daddy didn't love him because he did....he loved him more than anything else on Earth. Liam is thespitting image of his Daddy, the same daredevil traits, the same feeling of love for the outdoors, the same sweetness and infectious hugs.  Sometimes, mental illness can be far more powerful than any feelings of love...and sometimes, despite everyone's efforts....those demons can take their toll.  Our family has tried for years, many years in fact, to help our son, Liam's Daddy, to gain control of those demons, to harness the positive in his world, to love him endlessly....but mental illness won this battle and now Liam must live beyond his short 4 1/2 years without this most special person. 

We want to help Liam as much as possible with anything and every need he has in the future.  It has always been our wish that he go to college after high school....he is vastly intelligent like his Daddy!   We are not from rich families....In fact most of my own family died all within a 10 month period ending one month before Liam's birth. 

There was no life insurance to help with Liams needs in the future and that is why we started this account.  His Papa and I want to start a savings account for him with the proceeds from this account and let it build interest until he needs money for college in the future.  We want him to have every advantage possible as the deck is already stacked against him in many ways.

Any help you can provide, no matter how small, will go directly into savings for him and him only.  We love this little boy beyond what words can express...we refer to him as the 'light of our world'....and now he is the only lonk we have to his father.  When we look into Liam's giant cocoa brown eyes with the longest lashes you have ever seen....it's like looking into his father's eyes all over again.
