Liam vs Brain Cancer
Donation protected
I am Liam a 24 year old who has been diagnosed with a Grade IV Giant Cell Glioblastoma. I have recently undergone neurosurgery and am currently receiving chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Alongside this I have also been accepted into medical school and am focused on recovery and looking forward to the road ahead.
On top of the obvious fallout, cancer also represents a huge financial burden with countless appointments and associated travel, medications, and a substantial loss of income while not working while receiving/recovering from treatment.
Glioblastomas have a poor prognosis and new emerging treatments/clinical trials can be associated with large costs, so having the financial means to be able quickly take these opportunities is essential.
Lastly, in the event that I don't beat the odds I would like to have money set aside to cover funeral costs for my family, and be able to posthumously provide funding directly to a brain cancer research team.
Thank you for anything you can spare, I am eternally grateful.
-Liam.
