Liams Comfort Kits in Support of SickKids

Hi everyone,

As some of you know, I had a baby 9 years ago, and he was born with cystic fibrosis. We created this amazing Grass Roots organization called Liam's Mission.

SickKids needs our help to organize Comfort Kits to distribute to them.

These kits are given to parents & children entering the hospital most arriving with nothing since the stay (often lengthy) comes unexpectedly. They include contents such as

A pen and notepad

Hand cream

Mints

Gum

Sanitizer/Soap/Deodorant

Comb/brush

Pantry snacks (granola bar/chocolate/etc peanut free)

Gift card for Tim Hortons or Starbucks

Toothbrush + Toothpaste

Lip chap

Feminine Sanitary products

Coloring books & Crayons

Pj pants (child/adult)

Underwear in packs of 3 (child/adult)

This is where we're looking for your help.

If any businesses are willing to collaborate, I'll gladly list them as sponsors on the postcard going in the kits. I will also keep anyone interested in donations and how many families we ended up supporting in the end.

For anyone who has ever had a child or known a child in the hospital. I'm sure you can relate to how stressful the experience can be. These kits help in a small way to provide parents with a few fewer things they need to worry about during their hospital stay.
