Liam’s Fight Against Freidrichs Ataxia

Liam is an 11 year old boy from rural remote town of Baan Baa ( Barn Baa) 1 of 4 siblings to Stacie & Luke. Liam has been diagnosed with a genetic disease Freidrichs Ataxia, which is a disease that affects the nervous system and deteriorates muscles affecting the whole body and also affects the heart.

Liam is a happy-go-lucky boy, with caring friends and willingness to give anything a go, even with his disability. He loves being around friends, family and his pets, loves all animals, is a caring big brother and loves to play Minecraft and his favourite subject is Science. Liam loves taking adventures and discovering new things.

Liam is currently supported by his walker to help assist him with walking and balance. His ability to walk is getting more difficult, FA walking is also described to as a drunken sailor!!

However, some exciting news!

Although there is no known cure for FA, Liam has been accepted to trial stem cell therapy in his parents drive to decrease the damage and slow down the FA.

We are asking for you to join in our efforts to help reach our goal of $55,000 during our fundraising appeals to help Liam and his Mum travel overseas to Thailand for the 3 week admission of stem cell therapy and specialist programs.

It is the supporters and their efforts to help join in, that will give Liam this amazing chance to prolong the disease and just have fun being a kid whom is more abled to do so.
