Liam’s Fight Against Stage 4 Sezary Syndrome

Liam is in the toughest battle of his life as he confronts stage four lymphoma - Sezary syndrome (a very rare and aggressive blood cancer). Despite the daunting diagnosis, Liam’s spirit remains high which is what we all know Leeroy for. This is going to be hard work, but if anyone can do it is Leeroy, the guy who completed an Ironman last year, with cancer as it was later discovered. Now, as he battles cancer, his determination is his greatest asset.

The objective of this fundraiser is to rally around Liam during this critical time, ensuring he can focus on his treatment and recovery without the added burden of financial stress. With your support, we aim to cover Liam’s living expenses and keep him in his home while he undergoes intensive treatment.

In a stroke of good fortune, as Liam's only sibling I am a full genetic match for him and have donated stem cells, a beacon of hope in Liam’s journey. Now, our collective focus is on providing Liam with the resources he needs to receive and benefit from this life-saving donation.

Unfortunately, Liam is currently unable to work and is unlikely to return this year due to his treatment plan. The uncertainty surrounding his recovery means this challenging journey may extend into next year, adding financial strain to an already difficult situation. He is also finding it very difficult to access government assistance being a kiwi.

In addition to donations, Liam has expressed the option for individuals to lend him money with the commitment to repay when he's back on his feet.
