Liams fundraising walk for Alice house hospice

Hello everybody,

Our good friend Liam Griffiths has recently passed and was being cared for by the wonderful nurses at Alice house hospice.

I was lucky enough to be able to see him in his final days and he said one of the things he wanted me to do for him was to raise money for Alice house in his name.

Family and friends this is where we need your help.

I have planned to do a sponsored walk on Saturday 27th July starting from the Ship inn pub in Saltburn at 7:00am finishing in Whitby.

This is part of the cleveland way walk and is 21 miles it should take us 6-7 hours to finish. where we will meet in Whitby to raise a glass for our good friend Liam.

He tried a swear box and ended up having £50 within 2 hours but that was Liam. He said that wasn't enough and wanted to raise more and to give something back but thats the type of man he was, always putting others first before himself.

He said the nurses had done everything and anything for him and he was very grateful. He told me his favourite nurse is called Kayleigh who i got to meet. She is a lovely lady and she kept his spirits high.

Myself, his family and friends are going to take part in this sponsored walk in Liams name.

Any donations would be really appreciated !

We aim to give the sponsor money to Alice house and also provide a memorial bench to place outside his home.
