Liam's Medical Fund
URGENT HELP REQUESTED FOR LIAM AND HIS FAMILY.
Liam is a three year-old with a terminal liver disease.
The family is currently staying in a hotel 2 hours from their home near Pittsburgh Children's and states away from their families (TX). Funds will help cover medical expenses, travel expenses and allow the family to take a leave of absence from work and be with Liam during the duration of his time in Pittsburgh.
FROM LIAM'S MOM:
After being in and out of the hospital for a year, Liam was diagnosed with Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency in 2014 at 18 months old. This caused Liam to develop severe liver disease, causing continued stays in the hospital. Liam's family was able to move from South Texas to Erie, Pennsylvania, where they live two hours from one of the top specialists in the nation for pediatrics with his specific disease in Pittsburgh.
Liam is currently in the hospital in Pittsburgh, and upon his release he will continue to receive home health care and require extensive medical treatment.
We know that it is going to be better for Liam to be home with his sister and brother and mom and dad. That way he will have better care and not the stress of living in the hospital with other really sick kids and get something else while he is there.
Our family is overwhelmed with all the love and support we have had from everyone. We have felt the love of God in our time of need and we have been so grateful for the prayers, cards and other things!!! Liam loves mail!!!
