Liam's PU Surgery

Wanting to update everyone about Liam, Jamie and Sarah’s previously feral, 10 lb cat who has changed our world. He’s had a very rough time these past 3 weeks. He has been in and out of the vet since Nov. 4th with urinary issues. So many people are praying and sending him good vibes; we all appreciate it dearly. Kitty has a Urinary blockage that won't clear. He went into renal (kidney) failure and spent another three days at the vet catheterized and on fluids. Once he was out of renal failure, he went to VSCG to try and understand the cause of the blockage. It was determined that kitty has feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) and would need a perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery.

Jamie is still in school, working full time and Sarah just recently graduated. They’ve taken out a loan to allow Liam to have his surgery. I’m so very proud of them. They’re doing absolutely everything they can. That’s why I’m starting this GoFundMe. The combination of all their vet bills is estimated to be over $8,000. I’ve never done this before, but If you can contribute even a small amount, it will help make the holidays a little brighter. He’s at VCSG now (11/23), having PU surgery so that he can pee. The vet hopes kitty will come home on Thanksgiving or the following day. Please keep us in your thoughts as we wait to pick him up and for a successful recovery
