In 2018, almost 2 years ago Liane went thru the biggest fight of her life, finding out she had a tumor the size of a basketball on her liver.
Now on December 10th, 2019 Liane is about to under go a BIGGER surgery then she had already experienced.
“Where there is no Suffering, There is no strength". With that said, we’d like to speak on behalf of one the most Strongest woman known to man. Liane Beado, If ever their was anyone I know who has embodied Struggles, it would be her. As long as I have known Liane, She has always been one of those individuals that has been a Beacon for many.
A Smile so many Admire, yet behind that Beautiful Smile is a woman who has fought past so many Battles that only few knew so much about.
Back in June of 2017 she started having severe pain in her abdomen area. After many test, doctors diagnosed her with GERD (gastrointestinal disease, acid reflux). In December of 2017 the pain returned even more intense. Blood work showed abnormal liver enzymes and ultrasound showed a massive tumor of 21cm. Due to the size and severity of surgery, she had to be flown to O’ahu to get a hepatectomy (liver resection).
January 08th, 2018 was her day of surgery, having already dropped down to 83 pounds and being in excruciating pain for months. Doctors emphasized how risky his surgery world be, that her life was on the line. Her then 6 year old son Eliyaz, whom already had lost his father 5 years prior, had ask his mommy a question right before her going into surgery “But mommy what if you past away?”. Thankfully after 5 hours, and 10 units of blood transfusions, the tumor the size of a basketball was removed. It was studied, and came out to be stage 4 metastatic fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. She was informed that there was a chance of it coming back.
Lianes strength has inspired so many, the scar that cuts across her entire upper abdomen is a reminder of what she had been thru, and she lived life with a new light to her.
In previous years, on April 10, 2013, Liane at age 23 had lost her late Husband and father to her son to leukemia. During her time of mourning God had sent her a wonderful man, that took care of not only her but her son too. Kalvyn had proposed to Liane on April 22, 2018, she said YES!
Due to other circumstances, Liane also thought that she wasn’t able to become pregnant. But soon after a seed was planted, a life was created, a wonderful pregnancy, and a beautiful delivery a baby girl was born. Lux had come into the world exactly 1 year to the day that the tumor was removed on January 08, 2019.
Liane has remained vigilant with her regular visits to oncologist, her blood work and ultrasounds were normal.
Until October 2019 when she flew to O’ahu for yearly check up with liver specialist. CT scan showed a tumor growing back on liver and another tumor on diaphragm. Due to the fact that the two tumors are in totally different areas of her body, 2 surgeons will be involved with upcoming surgery (thoracic surgeon and liver surgeon). Tumor on diaphragm is towards spine so there will be a whole new cut from belly button to back of ribs and also reopen the previous cut again for tumor on liver. This surgery will be all day as it is basically two surgeries in one. This will also be a longer recovery and longer time spent in hospital.
While many of us will be spending the holidays in the comfort of our own homes; We kindly ask if you are willing and able to aid this beautiful family of 4 whom will be away from home spending the holidays supporting Liane on her road to recovery.
Your contribution will help Kal, who is the Main source of income at this time, & who will be taking unpaid leave & become Lianes FT caregiver. The expenses will also help with Transportation, Lodging & food while on Oahu.
