Libby’s walk to support friends of ASCHIANA

After the amazing time I have had at Maidwell hall with all my friends, we all have the great opportunity to walk 62 miles over 3 days, around the beautiful coastline of Pembrokeshire. This challenging walk is held annually for a different charity each year. This year the form ones (year 8) have chosen to support ‘Friends of Aschiana’ the UK-based charity dedicated to supporting ASCHIANA, the School for Street Working Children in Afghanistan.

This incredible charity helps the vulnerable and suffering children on the street living terrible lives in Afghanistan by providing an education and helping them with there every need to improve their lives. And a hot meal a day to all its students!

The whole year group of 40 children will be tackling the massive challenge of not only walking the extreme Pembrokeshire coastline, but we will also be carrying our gear, cooking our food, putting up our tents (and sleeping in them!). We will be supported by some daring teachers and some of the parents.
