Liberation on Land: Rites of Passage Program
Donation protected
Our 3rd Rites of Passage Program kicks off on 8/18 at WILDSEED!
>>>Liberation On Land<<<
We have 18 incredible B.I.P.O.C. youth (Black Indigenous People of Color, ages 13-16) and a team of phenomenal facilitators who will gather at WILDSEED for an immersive week of healing arts, regenerative farming, whole foods cooking, survival skills, political education, art and music making, mindfulness practices, ancestor work, and learning the language of the Earth.
We are thrilled to co-create this intentional space for an activated group of young people at a pivotal time in their lives, to connect deeply with themselves, each other, the land, their ancestry, and a sense of purpose.
The youth will receive mentorship in trusting their inner guidance, identifying their super powers, naming their needs, pushing their limits, self-acceptance, collaboration, and compassionate communication.
We will dive into the revolutionary histories of our ancestors' struggles for liberation, and ways we can shape movements for justice in our own communities nowadays.
L.O.L. will culminate in a rite of passage ritual, where initiates will call on the support of their ancestors as they affirm their personal commitments for self-actualization and collective responsibility.
We are asking our community for support in our final push to cover expenses for the program. Please contribute what you can. THANK YOU!
Money Raised will go towards
- WILDSEED Site Prep and Utilities
- Local Farm Fresh Produce & Groceries
- Workshop Materials
- Kitchen Supplies
- Transportation
