Library for Kpando Gadza M.A. Basic School

We are raising funds to support the Queen Mother and school management of Kpando Gadza M.A. Basic School (a community school of around 200 elementary-age students) in Kpando, Volta Region, Ghana, to establish a library in one of their classroom blocks.

The library will serve as a resource center for the students, providing access to a wide range of books and learning materials, which will foster a culture of reading and enhance the overall educational experience of the students.

The project will contract with a local carpenter to manufacture and install custom-built desks, chairs, and bookshelves to accommodate twenty-four students and a librarian. We will also install curtains to beautify the library space to create a welcoming and conducive environment for learning.

Any funds raised in excess of our GoFundMe goal will be used to purchase more books and learning materials to fill our new shelves.

This project will not only provide immediate benefits to the current students, but will also serve future generations, contributing to the long-term educational development of the community. We hope to inspire a love for reading and learning, equipping students with the tools they need to succeed academically and beyond.
