LIC Robotics Team needs funding for Champs!

We are the RoboTigers, Team 1796 and we ROAR.
Our Season:
Since January 7th, the RoboTiger students have dedicated over 8,000 hours to our team. During this time students not only created a competitive robot, ReRe, and a new pit, but we were able to spark change in our community to shift the culture of STEM to be more accessible and inclusive.
As a result of their dedication, passion, and commitment they were able to win the Impact Award (the most prestigious FIRST award) at the Long Island #2 regional and the competition at the New York Tech Valley Regional, qualifying twice for the FIRST World Championships in Houston, Texas.
Now Team 1796, the RoboTigers need your help. We’ve been working with our school to secure funding for our 29 students and 8 mentors to attend but with new rules and school budget deadlines being past, they are only able to secure $5,000.
We are currently not going to be able to attend championships. Which means our students will not have the experience of the championships.
Our Financial Situation:
Our core expenses are:
$26,000: Flights for (29) students and (3) mentors (busses are more expensive)
$13,500: Hotel Accommodations for (29) students and (3) mentors
(+~$4800) These costs exclude our 5 additional mentors who typically attend to supervise and support students in the many layers of competition.
$39,500 Total for the entire trip.
With spring break approaching on Thursday and everything needing to be approved by our school before, we are on a tight timetable of either making this happen or forfeiting our opportunity to compete on a world level.
We appreciate any support you can provide.
