Life changing Groin operation

UPDATE THE FIRST AMOUNT HAS GONE INTO MY BANK THANK YOU FOR ALL DONATIONS UP TO NOW-Hi my name’s Elizabeth I’m 46 years old here’s a bit about my life and why I need to raise funds, from 21 years of age I began to take drugs recreational due to low self esteem and to ease my mental health as they helped surpress it all.

I began hard drugs shortly after and began injecting into my leg in my left groin I ended up getting abscesses which resulted in big surgeries to cut them out.

my addiction worsened and resulted in more operations of that groin as the abscesses were then packed with a special packing to heal from the bottom up they didn’t fully close leaving extensive scarring.

I got clean 6 years ago and have completely changed my life around, but the extensive damage to my left groin has left me with a groin that chronically oozes lymphatic fluid due to the holes that are there and the damaged lymphatics which also causes chronic lymphoedema of that left leg and this also results in chronic infections some of which have resulted in sepsis and in and out of hospitals for many many years.

I saw an nhs surgeon 2 years ago who was going to do surgery but after a meeting they decided against it i then got a 2nd opinion and was told the same.

I then contacted a surgeon I found online who does trauma plastics and he told me about a surgeon who deals with lymphoedema and I emailed him and was told they could fix it with a reconstructive flap cover taking healthy skin and tissue and this would stop all the oozing and infections but at a cost of £25,000 for the operation and £3,000 for the pre tests a scan I would need before and I would get the 5 days in hospital and the aftercare,

This would change my life dramatically I currently have chronic pain and have to always be near a toilet to change dressing pads and this impacts my mental state, I feel I have changed my life so much and I want to work towards being a support worker for young people with mental health and this would give me the opportunity to get to where I want to be and give me freedom that I don’t have right now.
