Life Changing Surgery For Morgan Powell

Our friend Morgan Powell is suffering horribly from a disease called endometriosis. A disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus.
With endometriosis, the tissue can be found on the ovaries, fallopian tubes or the intestines.
This causes severe, debilitating pain for those afflicted. Along with many other symptoms such as extremely painful periods, sex, pelvic pain overall, as well as frequent fatigue, bloating, back pain and migraines, and stomach issues related to various foods that she can’t tolerate due to her endo.
She is currently taking a medication called Orilissa that helps significantly with her symptoms; however, she can only take if for 2 years due to the side effects it can have on her bones. So soon she will be right back where she started: in pain constantly, bloated all the time, horrible menstruation, extreme fatique, pelvic pain, stomach issues, and migraines due to her condition.
Heres a quote from Morgan, describing her situation more clearly:
"Before i was on orilissa i could hardly function, the pain was so intense and so frequent that i would often be bedridden for days at a time and during high school i missed a lot of class because of it too. since orilissa is the only medicine made FOR endo, all i’d really be able to do is do what i did before which is use heating pads, take tylenol/midol, hot baths, etc.. but honestly those don’t do much anymore. i’m also not really able to hand any extrenious physical activity bc of my endo, let alone hold a stable job or keep up with school work/classes. the surgery would basically eliminate all of these problems once i’ve properly recovered from it."
She has two options, an excision surgery with longer recovery time, and higher cost, or an ablasion surgery that isnt as effective because it only treats the surface of the endometriosis, and doesnt excise it completely root and stem.
The excision surgery would have a higher success rate and less of a chance of the endometriosis growing back years down the road because it’d basically cut it out by the root wherever it’s currently growing! This would basically eliminate ALL of her pelvic pain, period pain, fatigue, bloating, and other chronic issues she suffers from endo. Doctors are pretty sure it’s supposed to at LEAST offer 8-10 years of relief, if not more!
But before any surgery can happen, she has to have a laparoscopy done to assess the condition of her endometriosis and see what can be done. This can cost anywhere from several thousand dollars to 10,000.
We would need these funds as soon as possible, because we are coming closer to the 2 year mark on Morgan's endometriosis medication. Soon she will be bearing the full brunt of this disorder all on her own again. Please, help if you can! This is a very urgent situation!
We are asking for any kind of money you can offer! Are are grateful for every single penny you give, because that means we are one penny closer to these life changing procedures for our dear friend.
If you can't spare any money yourself, we would also appreciate it very much if you could share this post and spread awareness for our friend Morgan.
Thank you very much,
-A group of concerned friends.
