Support Sava’s MS journey
Donation protected
This Go Fund me page has been created by Sava’s family and friends. We are doing so in the hopes to raise funds so that Sava can get the treatment he needs to be able to live a more stable, pain free, fuller life for himself and his son. Sava’s MS symptoms are currently progressing rapidly and there has been success in the reduction of symptoms in AHSCT. He currently see’s 4 allied health professionals which are exhausting for him. He is unable to do most things that Dads get to do with their kids which as take them to the park to kick a ball, go for walks (he can’t walk far), teach his child to ride a bike and can only play with his son, Luka, for short periods of time. He’s a fantastic father but wants to be able to do all the things a normal father does. We humbly ask you for your support to give Sava the chance at being a more present and active dad as well as giving him the chance at a normal life without the need for allied health and walking aids. Regaining his independence is priceless but in this case, costly. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
A message from Sava:
Hi everyone, my name is Sava, and I’m reaching out to share my journey and ask for your support. In 2018, I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which has had a profound impact on my life. As a father to a 3-year-old, my biggest goal is to be a better, more active dad and live a longer, fuller life for my son.
Despite trying various treatments, my condition has continued to worsen, which has made me explore other options. After careful consideration, I’ve learned that Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (AHSCT) offers my best chance for improving my condition and quality of life. Unfortunately, the cost of the treatment, which would require travel to Mexico, is approximately $90,000 AUD —a financial hurdle I simply cannot overcome on my own. This money will not only help cover my substantial medical expenses but will also support my recovery at home and provide for my family, as Ashlee may need to hire babysitters while she works and studies. It will also allow me to travel home with the necessary care and prepare for any potential future medical costs, should complications arise. Clinica Ruiz has a strong track record, with thousands of MS patients treated successfully each year.
That’s why I’m humbly reaching out to my friends, family, and compassionate individuals for help. Every bit of support counts, whether it’s through a donation, sharing advice, or even assisting with fundraising efforts. Even a small contribution could bring me one step closer to this life-changing treatment. If everyone were to donate even $1, we could reach the goal together.
I’m working hard to fundraise, but I can’t do this without the help of others. Please share my story with as many people as possible—the more who hear about my efforts, the closer we can get to making this treatment a reality.
I will provide regular updates throughout this journey to keep you informed every step of the way. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean the world to me, and I am deeply grateful for anything you can do to help. Together, we can fight MS and bring hope back into my life, allowing me to be the Dad my son deserves.
Thank you for being part of this journey towards recovery. Your support makes all the difference and I am eternally grateful.
