Life Essence in the Mud

Life Essence Housing and Support have been providing temporary accommodation for women, who need housing and restorative care within the London borough. 

 

Alongside our accommodation, we offer support to women who have experienced trauma ranging from Domestic abuse, Early childhood trauma, General Homelessness, Bereavement, Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Abuse, Sex Trafficking, prison and so on…

We are a Christian charity whose vision is to see women supported and empowered. We provide a safe space and an opportunity for them to work through trauma and realign with the truths of how God views them and who He created them to be. Our aim is to rebuild confidence, self-worth, self-esteem, and build healthy relationships.

 

The support we provide includes;

Self-esteem courses, Careers advice, Pastoral support, Bible studies, 1-2-1 sessions and referrals to outside agencies.

We also offer Life skills support;
Money course, Admin support, Cleaning support, Cooking lessons, Baking, Gardening workshops.

As part of the programme, women receive 1-2-1 support from key workers and 1-2-1 or group counselling sessions from our trained counsellor and psychotherapist.

We have a team of willing (and some not so willing ;-) )people taking on this muddiest obstacle course in 15th May 2022!! We will be coming together as one body, to wade through the mud for the women we are supporting. You are welcome to join us! Email us at [email redacted]. What Else Do We Do?

 

We provide an online platform where all believers and non-believers of Christ can come and share their journey, stories and passions. We feature blogs and podcasts on real issues prepared by the team and importantly the community bloggers-YOU!

 

In addition, our site offers you a monthly scripture-based series, providing inspiration and hope alongside our Life essence UK channel, available via you-tube, providing encouragement and challenge, on a variety of topics.
