Life has sucked for Dale the past year!

Hello, I'm Melissa Schindler. I look at Dale as a brother. We have known each other for about 30 years. I have always known Dale to have a mouth that doesn't sugar coat his feelings or thoughts. With him, you will know exactly where you stand. Like it or not, that what you are going to get. He has a heart as big as the universe for those who he is close to. He would give the shirt off of his back for those who he cares for and at times even those who have wronged him. He has been a platonic friend to me and a male role model for my children for the past 27 years. He is a true blue when he's all in.

In the year of 2023, he has had some rough times medically. He has had back surgery, a Quadruple bypass, Pneumonia, he's been on life support and has even died several times on the table. He has had to endure kidney dialysis and is doing inpatient rehab at this point in order to gain the strength to walk again on his own.

He is in need of us who are able to help to step up and show him the support he needs to pull through this.

At this day and time, his goal is to exit rehab on Friday of this week. He needs a handicapped ramp so that he can gain access to his home that he hasn't been able to enter for nearly three months. My father and my significant other are both licensed contractors who have agreed to volunteer their time and effort to build the ramp if we can get some help with the materials. So, that is one purpose of the effort to help him.

The second is to help to keep the utilities on and food on his table and mortgage paid until he is able to return to work in the upcoming months.

I know Dale well enough to know he would help if we needed it, and he was in a position to help. Let's step forward and help him!
