Life in 3D Cover Licenses

Help us keep our songs out there for the world to enjoy.

We are a sibling group that loves to sing. We share our music with anyone who wants to feel joy and goodness in their lives. Because we didn’t realize how many people would love our work, and how quickly we would grow, we didn’t take the proper steps to license our cover music. Now, if we don’t get these licenses, we will have to take down all of the songs we’ve worked so hard on and that so many of you love.

These licenses are expensive (each license is at least $2,000, if not more) and we really want to keep them available to inspire and uplift even more people, as well as allow us to continue to produce music.

Here's a little more info for those who are curious about our situation.

We started this channel in early 2022, thinking we would upload some songs for our family to enjoy, while still pursuing our stem careers. Unfortunately, that same year, YouTube began adopting a new policy which requires cover songs to have licenses. These licenses for videos are actually quite difficult to secure (you have to reach out to the actual label who owns the song) so we decided not to bother with it. When we finally did have enough followers and views to monetize our channel, YouTube turned down our request. So, we have yet to make any money off of our videos. We are beginning to come to a decision point though, where we would love to spend more time on YouTube making music, but the more videos we make the deeper of a hole we dig ourselves. The goal is to buy the licenses we need, monetize our channel, and use the money we make going forward to purchase the licenses we'll need for future videos. But we need help to get started. Any help goes a long way.
