Life of Betty Booth
Donation protected
I am fundraising on behalf of the Booth family. I am sure many of you are aware of the tragedy that happened Friday 31st March This loss is unfathomable and something no parent should have to experience. The family is at a loss for words and does not even know where to begin at this moment. At this time we are raising funds to assist with the funeral expense
Bethannie was 24 years young and Taken from us way too soon. 5 weeks ago bethannie had a bad throat and flu like symptoms. With a visit to a&e, Unfortunately she's had contracted Strep A, along with sepsis. Within a week Bethannie was put in to an induced coma to help her body fight when her organs had started to shut down. During this time she also developed a hole in her lung and needed emergency surgery. Unfortunately the hospital wasn't equipped with the right machines to help her, and so was transferred to London guys hospital to recieve the highest care.
Bethannie was put on an echmo machine where she fought and fought. After a few days, bethannie showed promising development and things were looking up. Guys hospital said she was a miracle and she was on the right track to getting better. Slowly but surely.
Her mum and dad had stayed in London for 3 weeks while she was there, along with her sisters travelling back and forth, an other family members.
Bethannie was still in ICU, and heavily sedated, London said she was able to be transferred back to Wales. Bethannie was stable at this point.
Unfortunately sepsis had returned and her fight was over after a 6 days of being back in wales. The hospitals and staff done everything they could.
On Friday 31st March bethannie sadly passed away surrounded by her mam, dad and sisters by her side.
As you can imagine this is hard for the whole family and we are asking if you are able to donate anything we would be forever grateful. To relive some stress and pressure on Bethannie’s family so they can concentrate on eachother.
Thankyou all x
