Community Support for Alyssa After the Eaton Fire
Donation protected

My name is Alyssa Tate and I have been a proud member of the Altadena community for 8 years. As many of you may know, on January 7, the Eaton fire began to ravage my community of Altadena. I rushed out of my house with the clothing on my back and my cats in their carriers.
Altadena is my home and to see my community devastated by such a senseless and preventable tragedy is unspeakable tragic. I work from home as a full time therapist. As someone who spends their life holding the emotional pain of others, being displaced and without a home greatly impacts me being able to work. I just want to rebuilt both physically and emotionally.
We are at an unprecedented time where hundreds of people have lost their homes and everything they own.
I know a lot of people feel so helpless right now and want to help.
My home has been completely destroyed, along with all of my worldly possessions. However, I do have what is important, which is my life and my kitties.
To have everything you own obliterated in one day is a surreal experience. Not only my keepsake possessions, but my home and my beautiful community of Altadena.
