Life saving medication for 3 year old Clodagh
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ann Marie Conboy & I am hoping that you will support me in raising funds for a new potentially life-saving treatment for my little niece Clodagh.
Her parents, Matthew & Sinead, previously of Killare and Ballinea, Mullingar, have been supporting her since she was diagnosed with a severe form of epilepsy, Dravet Syndrome.
Clodagh suffers multiple seizures every day and on Friday the 17th of June, she was admitted to hospital after being resuscitated twice by her relatives at her home.
This was the second time in less than a month that Clodagh has suffered respiratory and cardiac arrest.
We are currently awaiting funding for a new treatment, Fenfluramine, which has been proven to have a significant impact in reducing the frequency and severity of seizures in children with Dravet Syndrome.
This will take several months so we are raising funds for this potentially life-saving treatment as we await approval.
Fenfluramine treatment costs approximately €10,000 per month and we are aiming to raise €30,000 to treat Clodagh for 3 months over the summer in the hope that the treatment will be funded by the HSE from October of this year.
Anything that you can do to help is very much appreciated.
