LIFE SAVING MEDICATION FOR LUNA

Hey everyone! I never thought I'd be in a situation like this, but I need your help.

 As many people who know me know that I'm a huge animal lover, especially when it comes to cats! 

 Last year, I welcomed little Luna into my family. She had a tough start in life, being found in a drain by Inner City Strays. But luckily, she found her way to me and my growing cat family, where she could have the life she deserves. I have a total of 6 rescue cats including Princess Luna who is our only girl. 

 Unfortunately, we recently discovered that Luna, who is just one years old, has been diagnosed with neurological dry FIP. It all started with stomach issues, fevers, loss of appetite, balance problems, loss of sight, significant weight loss and dilated pupils 24-7. It's been a real nightmare.

 We took Luna to the vet multiple times, emergency vets and then she was admitted to SASH animal hospital on the 10/01/2024 as her condition got significantly worse. After we’ve done all the tests that possibly could be done we then have found out she has FIP. The treatment for this particular type of FIP involves a compounded medication which is between $4,000-$5000 for 12 week treatment. This treatment has a 85% success rate if done promptly. 

 The type of FIP Luna has only affects around 30% of cases, and if left untreated, it's fatal. That's why we're desperately trying to raise funds for this expensive treatment. 

 Luna has been on GS-441524 since the 12/01/2024, and we're filled with hope for her recovery. She's under the wonderful care of Dr. Gretta at Turramurra Veterinary Hospital, which has been more affordable than SASH. 

 While Luna's appetite has returned, we're facing the challenge of her left eye's retina being completely detached, and the right eye's retina being almost detached. But we're not giving up! We're staying positive and hopeful that her eyes will heal.  

 To help cover Luna's medical expenses, we've set up a GoFundMe page. I've exhausted all my financial options, having already spent around $7,500 for her stay at SASH, vet visits, and emergency visits but unfortunately, I'm falling short on funds for her full treatment of FIP medication (GS 441524 50mg tablets) and ongoing medical care.

 I am trying everything possible in my power to come up with this money on such short notice. I know times are tough for everyone, but any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to Luna and me. If you can't contribute financially, even sharing this post would be a huge help.
