Life Saving Surgery for Abubacarr Jallow
Donation protected
I am asking for help on behalf of the Jallow family. Abubacrr Jallow is a 14 month old boy in the Gambia, West Africa diagnosed with Diaphragmatic Hernia when he was 1 year old. A diaphragmatic hernia is a birth defect in which there is an abnormal opening in the diaphragm. The diaphragm is the muscle between the chest and the abdomen that helps you breathe. The opening allows part of the organ from the belly to move into the chest cavity near the lungs. This birth defect cannot be treated in the Gambia or surrounding countries due to it being a rare case. The family has tried many other countries including the United States and finally, Memorial Hospital in Istanbul Turkey will do the surgery. The Surgery will cost $10,000 excluding the family travel cost, the cheapest cost they received. The parents are young and poor and cannot afford the cost and desperately need help to save their son. Abubacarr vomits everything he eats and weighs just 9.2. He looks like a 9-month-old and is always in the hospital. His parents are in pain and fear every day seeing their child not be to eat and run around like a normal 14-month boy. Abubacarr has breathing problems, abnormal chest development and abdomen and gets sick all the time. This Surgery will be done to place the abdominal organs into the proper position and repair the opening in the diaphragm. Please help the Jallow family save the son's life. Donate as much as you can, no amount is too small.
