Life saving surgery for Kevin Melder

My name is David Michael, I am setting this account up for one of my best friends, Kevin Melder.

 

Let me tell you a little bit about Kevin Melder. Kevin is a 21 year old boy from Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is an undergraduate in Bio-Medical Engineering. If you've been lucky enough to meet him, you know he brings a whole lot of joy to every single thing he does and to all the people around him.

Kevin brought the same positive attitude and perseverance to fight with his cancer when he was first diagnosed and fought his way to remission.

Then, recently during one of his routine scans he was told that his cancer is back and now he has CD10 positive B- Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia which is much more severe and aggressive than the last time. Kevin is currently getting treatments at the Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, Sri Lanka.

 

In order for Kevin to survive he needs to go through a Bone Marrow Transplant which will cost his family more than 10 million rupees (more than 27, 400 USD). This transplant has to be done on the 18th of June, 2022. (within 20 days time) And the transplant will be performed at the Nawaloka Hospitals PLC, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 

Even after he got relapsed and with all this news Kevin continues to push forward and fight back. He continues to share his fiercely positive attitude with his family and friends.

 

Due to his continuous medical expenses please consider donating to this greater cause to support Kevin and his family throughout this battle. All money collected will go directly to Kevin and his family. Any remaining money left after paying for his transplant and medical treatments will be used for his aftercare expenses including his rehabilitation.
