Life-Extending Cancer Surgery for Suzanne

Hello! My name is Adriana Bean and I am raising funds for a cancer surgery that would extend my mom's life. My mom's name is Suzanne Remington, and she was diagnosed with Stage 4 ALK+ Lung Cancer in 2019. For those who don't know, ALK+ is a non-smoker type of lung cancer that is caused by a gene mutation, and unfortunately, there is no cure, so it is terminal. My mom's cancer has remained stable on her current treatment, and has not spread yet. However, the nature of this type of cancer is that it will spread eventually, it's just a matter of when. She recently found out that she is eligible for a surgery that can push off the inevitable spread of her cancer, allowing her to live longer than her current prognosis. However, her insurance denied the claim so she is left either to pay for it out-of-pocket, which is not possible for her financially right now, or to wait 2 years until Medicare kicks in. My mom's biggest goal is to make it to see my first child go to Kindergarten, and so I am doing everything I can to make that happen for her! Obviously, waiting 2 years is risky, so I am looking to raise the money for her surgery so she can get it done now. All of the money raised will go directly towards her surgery. Anything helps.
