LIFEGUARD SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Lifeguarding is an industry that requires training, certifications and safety equipment that many youth (16yrs - 23yrs) can't afford to pay . We want to help provide funding for young people when they are furthering their education and still in school.  Based on where you live in the country, lifeguard training certifications costs upwards of $300 or more for a 2 year license. Lifeguarding uniforms and safety equipment cost upwards of $200 or more and some areas require a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate for an additional $275. As you can see this is a lot of up-front money that many people cannot afford. Quality lifeguards play an important part of keeping our aquatic facilities and beaches safe for swimming each swim year. We need lifeguards because they Save Lives!

The largest killer of children under 6yrs old is drowning. Lifeguards & Lifeguarding help greatly reduce this breathtaking statistic. We must support our students in lower and middle class families to support these employment opportunities. Todays generation is in great need of heros and first responders.
