Konnichiwa! My name is Christina Walthall and I am a 22 year old student studying Entrepreneurship at The Fashion Institute of Technology. I have currently been teaching myself Japanese for four months, with some help of my Japanese friends I have made here in New York. I have never traveled before, but it is my dream to travel for the first time to Japan.
The Fashion Institute of Technology is offering a three week study abroad program in Japanese Conversation I. to Tokyo and Kyoto for summer 2016, but I do not have the $6,371 to study abroad. In addition, I am not qualified to apply for a federal loan to fund the summer study abroad program. That is why I am asking for your help in funding my trip to Japan. While in Japan, my goal is to pursue fashion with a select few Japanese fashion labels doing product development/ technical design. I also will tutor English to Japanese natives through a tutoring center for my stay there. Please help make this dream of mine a possibility!

私は独学でひらがなとカタカナを覚えました。
今は漢字を勉強しています。
もっともっと日本について知りたいです。
私はファッション、デザインを勉強しているので、日本のファッションについて勉強したいです。
また、日本に行ったら、日本のみなさんに英語を教えてあげたいと思っています。
