Lifeline Aid for Ahmed’s Family & his Newborns in Gaza!

Hi, I'm Yara, from Canada and I am raising funds for my friend Ahmed Ashour and his family—his wife and their two newborn children, Yazan and Abed, who were born during the devastating bombardment in Gaza. In addition to caring for his newborns, Ahmed is also supporting his father, who is disabled and battling cancer.

Despite living under blockade for many years, Ahmed managed to build a fruitful life as a law graduate before the recent wave of destruction engulfed Gaza. Now, his family is facing hardship. Medical supplies, food, clothes, milk, and diapers have become scarce and extremely expensive due to the ongoing crisis. With the region in ruins, and over 1.9 million people displaced and unemployed, simply surviving has become a daily struggle.

Ahmed’s wife gave birth amidst this humanitarian catastrophe, enduring poor hygiene conditions and a critical lack of medical supplies. One of their newborns is unwell, and is also in need of medication.

The message from Ahmed:

"Hello, I am Ahmed Ashour. I'm 29 years old from Gaza. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law, and got married a month before the war started. We were happy to start our lives together until we lost everything. I now live in a tent in the south of Gaza, displaced with my wife and our two newborn twin boys. My wife gave birth to Yazan & Abed just 3 months ago under harsh conditions. Our home was demolished. And, I am also supporting my father, who is disabled and has cancer. Every month we are in need of 15 bottles of milk, 5 diaper bags, medicine for one of my children who is sick and clothes. The prices are very high. We really need help, and I hope you can help us... Any donation can helps us."

Ahmed today finds himself struggling just to keep his family afloat, doing everything he can under constant threat of bombardment and displacement. His family’s future's way forward is through the generosity of others.

Our goal is to raise $48,000 USD / or $65,000 CAD

which will help sustain Ahmed’s family for 12 months, covering basic necessities like:

Milk (15 bottles per month): $375 USD

Diapers (5 bags per month): $250 USD

Clothes, Shelter and Medicine: $1,000 USD (with additional medicine costs upon request)

Food: $2,250 USD ($25 USD per basic meal for the family)

Total monthly expenses: $3,875 USD
