Lifeline for Linda

Hi, my name is Jen, and I am fundraising to extend a lifeline to my lifelong friend, Linda, as she battles advanced pancreatic cancer and Type 1 diabetes.

Linda and I have been best friends for about 52 years. We met in 1st grade, and life has taken us on a journey together that has blessed me beyond measure. The picture above is of me (left) and Lin (right) at my son's wedding this spring. Linda's heart is larger than life. She loves and cares for her family and friends above herself every single day. Any time I have needed her, she has been there for me, whether it was convenient for her or not. Now it is my turn to show her how much I love her.

Linda received her terrible diagnosis on September 21, 2023. She and her husband Mike, a military veteran, have two grown children and a beautiful granddaughter born this summer. Up until her diagnosis, Lin was working two jobs. Now, as she fights for her life, she has had to give up her second job as it jeopardizes her compromised immune system. She is doing her best to work at her "day" job, but it is getting tougher every day.

Lin has just completed her third chemo therapy treatment with the goal of getting her to a place where she is a candidate to have a lifesaving Whipple procedure . This procedure is critical in order to give her more time with her family and friends that she has worked so hard to take care of her entire life. Medical and monthly bills are piling up, and Linda is now spending precious time worrying about how her family will survive while she is fighting for her life.

I am starting this Go Fund Me to help remove the financial burden for Linda so she can focus on the fight at hand.
