Life-saving Dialysis for Marcelino Van Driel

Hi, my name is Felicia Siebritz and I am fund raising for life saving treatment for my brother, Marcy.

My younger brother Marcy needs support to receive life-saving dialysis.

Marcy is a Type 1 Diabetic and has been diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy, heart failure and kidney failure. Unless he can access dialysis, his condition is terminal; without it, his doctors estimate that he has just 3 to 6 months to live.

Marcy lives in Cape Town, South Africa. He does not have private medical aid and, due to limited resources and long lists of patients with competing needs for treatment, he cannot access dialysis through the public health system.

The Islamic Medical Association in Cape Town tries to support in situations like his, and are offering to arrange dialysis at a reduced rate for him.

In order to pay for his care, I need to raise GBP 6,000, which will cover his dialysis for the next year.

My family and I welcome any and all donations towards Marcy’s life-saving care. No amount is too small, and we will accept it with our heartfelt appreciation.

Marcy is a kind, compassionate and loving brother, uncle and husband, and active member of his community. He is only 48 years old, and receiving this treatment would be invaluable in extending his life.
