Life-Saving Medical Treatment for Abandoned Dog

Hello, my name is Veronica and I'm raising money for this little Nugget. She’s an abandoned dog that needs life-saving heartworm treatment.

This female Treeing Walker Coonhound wandered onto my friend's property this past Sunday (4/16). This poor girl was limping, exhausted, hungry and thirsty. My husband & I took her home so I could take her to the vet in the morning.

The following day I took her to the vet & they checked to see if she was chipped & she wasn't. I learned that hounds are frequently abandoned when they become ill or are lacking in hunting skills.

This poor girl's face is covered in scars & she was covered in ticks. She's limping from an infected snake bite, has hookworm, roundworm & is heartworm positive. I've started her on a 30-day antibiotic treatment, dewormer & flea & tick treatment

I've reached out to multiple shelters and they're all full and unable to help. I have pets of my own & I'm unable to afford all of the treatment she needs.

Currently, she is quarantined in my garage as I try to find her a shelter or someone that can adopt her.

I'm raising money to help with her medical expenses and food. She desperately needs the life-saving heartworm treatment and without it, she won't make it.

She is a sweet girl, well mannered & easy going. She's had a rough start to life. Please help me help her, so she can get better & have a chance to just be a happy dog.
