Life-Saving Surgery for Alicia
In July 2019, Alicia suffered a seizure which
resulted in hospitalization. She was evaluated and underwent a CAT scan, where doctors
“stumbled” upon a large aneurysm in her
brain. The aneurysm has no correlation to the seizures, it was a absolute miracle they found it. (This hospital visit alone was $50,000.)
Alicia was told she would need brain surgery as soon as possible. However, due to the highcost of the surgery, which is not performed in Montana, she was also told she needed to
apply for/find additional funding, which she
has done.
After months of appointments, ER visits, high prescription costs (well over $500/month),
trips to Spokane, scholarship applications
and ongoing seizures (again not correlated to the aneurysm) surgery has finally been scheduled for this Friday, October 18. Not even a fraction of the surgery is being covered beforehand, but it is necessary to proceed with the procedure, as the aneurysm is life-
threatening.
For anyone who knows Alicia and Malcolm,
you know it was difficult for them to agree to let me start this page- these two are the mostgiving, caring, humble individuals. This past
year has been extremely difficult , with the tragic loss of Alicia’s father and the loss of both of their dogs (Malcolm’s beloved Peanut,
followed by Alicia’s best friend Bridger.)
PLEASE help me raise awareness and funding for Alicia’s life-saving brain surgery. ✨❤️
Also, help me in wishing Alicia and Malcolm a
Happy 1 year anniversary they also
celebrated this July, in the midst of all of this. True love prevails!! ❤️
