LIFESAVING SURGERY FOR EMMANUEL PASCO
Donation protected
Emmanuel was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) this October. He is well-known for being a devoted son, a supportive brother, and a cheerful friend that spreads a contagious smile. We have faced many challenges in 2022, but this news has heightened the intensity of those obstacles. Despite everything, we only want to restore his contagious smile and reclaim a piece of his life that has been somehow taken.
His condition, Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. If this type of cancer is not treated, it typically worsens promptly. As of now (16th of October 2022), eighty-eight percent (88%) of leukemia cells filled up his bone marrow. Having said that, his recovery now depends on a bone marrow transplant. As this treatment requires a significant financial requirement, this compelled us to acknowledge that we needed support as to why we are opening this fundraising activity. Before we can get to the point where it is adequate for his treatment, we will rely on chemotherapy to alleviate the symptoms he is experiencing.
This is a heartbreaking event, as we have not ever envisioned this as part of our family's journey. Through this experience, we can concur that when someone has cancer, the whole family and everyone that loves them does too. Not in a physical sense, but it nevertheless has an emotional and psychological impact on us. Despite that, we will always be behind him in this journey, supporting in every way possible and surrounding him with the love he deserves. Knowing him, we are confident that he will always lend a hand when someone is in need. This is our chance to give back, and we need everyone's support. As we embark on this journey while he is at this vulnerable moment of his life, we request some assistance from anyone willing to provide a pint of their kindness. Any monetary assistance is greatly welcomed and much appreciated, as well as sharing his story and/or prayers.
While pain is only temporary, living a life knowing that we quit lasts forever. We will not quit knowing that everyone is supporting us. There is, as they say, always light at the end of the tunnel. So, while he is FIGHTING, we are HOPEFUL. We hope that cancer will just be a chapter in his life, not the whole story. As Ruth Westheimer once said, our way is not soft grass; it is a mountain path with lots of rocks. But it goes upwards, forward, toward the sun. So, for us and anyone else in a similar circumstance, We got this! Aja! Ganbare!
