Life-Saving Surgery for Precious

Donation protected
As most of you know, Sharon Chism (my mom) runs a non-profit cat rescue. She has approximately 40 cats under her care currently but has recently rescued Precious, a tiny Torti kitty that has just been diagnosed with PRAA (persistent right aortic arch). It's an uncommon vascular anomaly causing oesophageal obstruction. It causes Precious to vomit her food as soon as she eats. Sharon has grown quite fond of Precious, so euthanisia is not an option at this point. A New Mexico specialist would do the surgery at a cost of $7000 (just not financially possible for Sharon). Another local vet volunteered to do surgery but had never done it before, without knowing what the surgery would cost. Finally, Precious has qualified to get the surgery at a Colorado Vet School in Fort Collins for $2000, still expensive but not outrageous. It will cost Sharon to board her many dogs and cats while she takes Precious to get the surgery, travel expenses, food, meds, and time to heal. Any donation would greatly help. Precious is on a diet of watered-down prescription food every 2 hours and has had some success raising her food stand up to where gravity helps get nourishment into tiny body. Please help save Precious. All donations will go directly to this great cause. Always looking for adopters and fosters for the many rescues currently under Sharon's care and in the future.
