Liffey Salmon Project
Donation protected
The Liffey Salmon Project (founded 2021) originated from a diverse group of Irish anglers, to reverse the decline of the famous River Liffey salmon stocks.
Once numbering in the thousands, counters put the current stock level within the hundreds. In the short space of a year, the new organization has already achieved flow level adjustments at Leixlip reservoir, approval for spawning habitat restoration on the Lower Liffey and began investigating fish passage alternatives at Leixlip.
By supporting this new organization of amateur yet serious conservationists, your donation will go towards carrying out currently approved plans to improve degraded spawning sites for salmon, complete screening and consultation for fish passage improvement, and provide funds for future projects. Not only will salmon benefit, but all wildlife and the people living in and around the River Liffey.
