Join Us in the Fight Against Water Poverty by Bringing Critical Stories to Light
Imagine a day without water. Now, imagine that day stretching into a lifetime. This is the stark reality for many on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and areas beyond, as captured in our documentary, The H2O Project. Led by a team of experienced filmmakers and water advocates, we have amassed hours of footage documenting the critical issue of water poverty from the Eastern Shore of Virginia to the far reaches of Ecuador. Our journey has introduced us to unforgettable stories of communities and individuals struggling to access clean, safe water–a fundamental human right.
Water Poverty Facts:
2 billion people globally lack access to safe drinking water, exacerbated by pollution, climate change, and increasing demand. (UN-Water, World Bank)
Economic and infrastructural disparities negatively impact water access in the U.S., especially in rural areas like Virginia's Eastern Shore.
By 2025, half of the world’s population could face water-related shortages. (UNICEF)
The U.S. must spend $625 billion by 2041 for its water systems, and 40 states anticipate water shortages within the next decade. (Center for Sustainable Systems, US EPA)
The H2O Project is at a critical juncture—editing and distributing our film to ignite a local and global conversation. Your support on IndieGoGo will enable us to:
Edit our extensive footage into a compelling documentary that captures the heart of the issue and advocates for change.
Plan and execute a distribution strategy that ensures this important film reaches local and national audiences and global viewers through streaming services, theaters, educational platforms, and film festivals.
We're turning to you–our community of changemakers–to make a tangible impact. Your contribution will help us reach a global audience, raise awareness and drive change. Every donation brings us closer to a world where no one is left thirsty.
Please lend your support and help us make a difference! For more information, please visit our website at https://www.theh20project.com or contact me directly.

Inspired by previous initiatives...
We have other objectives in mind, but to simplify we're starting with the documentary.
We also wish to supplement some of the initiatives of Habitat for Humanity by helping raise funds for people who need housing and clean potable water. Also, to raise awareness about the need for water tests that are affordable that test for a broader range of chemicals/pesticides/pollutants/microplastics than the average $10-30 kit on Amazon that only does the basics. For example, none of them test for RoundUp aka Glyphosate despite its ubiquitous presence and alleged harmful effects outlined by some research available on the internet in published journals.
