Hello! My name is Courtney, and I'm sincerely grateful that you're taking the time to read my story. I grew up in the foster care system, so I have never expected life to be easy nor have I grown up with a reliable support system around me. I will simply say that I've encountered a lot of challenges and obstacles, but my determination to create a better life for myself has never wavered. I have done well to build a life for myself where I feel safe, my basic needs are well met and I even have a small budget for "fun money" that includes exercise and socializing. But lately, I've been on a quest to uncover my genuine self and purpose. Along the way, I discovered I have a dream... Flying.

It was in the world of aviation that I found a profound sense of freedom and empowerment. Flying, for me, is not just a passion; it's a calling.... I want to become a helicopter pilot.

I want to become a helicopter pilot, not just to fulfill my own dreams but also to open doors for others. My ultimate goal is to establish my own flight school, tailored to empower and inspire women to excel, both in aviation and in their personal journeys.

Currently, I'm enrolled in flight school, taking every opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve my dream to obtain my Certified Flight Instrument Rating. However, this journey comes with a significant financial burden. The total cost of my training is estimated at $67,315, and while I'm committed to working hard to cover some of these expenses, I can't do it alone.
