Help Lift the Willis Family

The Willis Family is an important part of our Community. Brian is a devoted Husband and Father, and has constantly given to those around him. He has been a Youth Coach for many of our children and is a cherished member of their Church Family. Brian is also an incredible Friend. You can always count on Brian to lend a helping hand, or any kind of help to to those in need. The following is an update from Niki as to what they are currently facing.
Brian has colon cancer.
He has surgery on Tuesday to remove a portion of his colon and the lymph nodes in his abdomen.
He will be in the hospital for 4-7 days.
He will be out of work a minimum of 4 weeks, but probably closer to 6.
This is what we don’t know:
We don’t know what stage yet other than no masses were seen in his lungs or liver so we know it’s not stage 4. (Amen)
We don’t know if he will need chemo until after the lymph nodes are sent to pathology.
This is the time that Brian, Niki and their sons need their family, friends and community to join together and help them. Brian will be out of work for up to 6 weeks while healing from his surgery, and at this point it is unknown if he will need further treatment. Many of us know that even with insurance, medical bills and the stress of unexpected expenses can be overwhelming. Please donate if you can, and share this link. For those that do not choose to donate online, there has been a fund set up at Damariscotta Bank and Trust (DB&T). Checks may be written out to Niki Willis with "Willis Medical Expense Fund" in the Memo Line. The bank will deposit them appropriately.
