Lifting Rachel

Sweet Rachel needs our help! She has been off work since January 10th due to some medical issues. She had surgery to remove a stone and had a stent inserted. After removal of the stent she experienced 2 instances of infection, and during treatment for that has discovered that she will likely be facing back surgery to correct some complications from a fusion surgery in 2016. A screw installed during that procedure has broken in half and needs to be replaced or removed. In addition it is possible that additional fusion will be necessary as well. If so, there will be an additional 6 weeks of recovery (no work) involved. 

Rachel has no health insurance. It was lost at the time of her divorce a few years ago and she has been unable to afford to replace it as she is basically starting over in life. Her own funds are nearly gone...as you can probably imagine after no work for nearly 2 months! So, she not only needs help with the overwhelming medical bills, she also needs help with just the cost of living! She lives alone so all expenses are hers to manage.

Please join in helping to LIFT RACHEL (yes, that is a reference to her love for weightlifting and body building). All funds donated, minus the very small amount charged by GFM to manage and disperse the donations, will go to Rachel for her to use as she needs. I met Rachel at Pleasant Dale Church. She is active in our church body, greeting and bringing joy to people as they arrive. There are no strangers in her eyes, only people to love on. We miss her greatly as she has been unable to join us on Sunday mornings due to this challenge in her life. Rachel, we all love you and want to see you active and among us very soon!
