Lifting the burden for Ashley Perry and her family
Donation protected
On Saturday January 13, 2024 39 year old Ashley Perry woke up feeling like she had the stomach flu. As the day continued the vomiting got more severe and Ashley started having difficulties moving her limbs and her husband Eric noticed a change in her speech patterns. He immediately rushed Ashley to South Health Campus in Calgary, within three hours they were told that Ashley had lesions on her brain and she was rushed by ambulance to Neurological Surgery Ward at Foothills General Hospital in Calgary.
24 hours and many tests later Eric and Ashley received the news that would change their lives forever. Ashley was diagnosed with Glioblastoma- a terminal stage 4 cancer. This is an aggressive, fast-growing cancer and there is no cure. On Monday January 22, 2024 Ashley endured a 12-hour surgery in an attempt to remove as much of the tumor(s) as possible in an effort to prolong life. Ashley survived the surgery but unfortunately a large part of the tumor was not operable.
Ashley and Eric are parents to two wonderful children- their son Gray who just turned 6 years old on January 6 and their beautiful daughter Max who is 2 years old. Like most families in today’s world Ashley and Eric both must work to be able to cover their expenses and to provide for their family.
Ashley will never be returning to work.
This GoFundMe campaign is a heartfelt plea for support. The aim is to raise funds that will alleviate financial stress for the Perry family, allowing them to focus on what truly matters – Ashley's ongoing treatments, being present for Gray and Max, and cherishing precious family moments.
Ashley's journey involves upcoming chemotherapy and radiation treatments, aiming to slow the cancer's growth and grant her more time with her children. The goal is to provide enough assistance so that Eric can be 100% focused on their family during these challenging times.
Every donation, regardless of size, contributes to lightening the Perry family's burden. Sharing this campaign also makes a difference. Let's join hands to offer hope, comfort, and support to Ashley, Eric, Gray, and Max. Your generosity will help ease the challenges that lie ahead.
