Light Art Space Reopening Fund

Light Art Space opened in downtown Silver City, NM September 1, 2018. Since then our historic downtown has experienced an exciting renaissance with many new galleries and restaurants opening up. 

I am so grateful for the warm welcome and overwhelming support the people of Silver have given Light Art Space.  All of this came to an abrupt halt in March as the pandemic hit and we were required to close our doors.  We sadly canceled 6 workshops and all future exhibitions and therefore have no income. New Mexico acted early and I am proud to live in a place where the safety of all residents is taken seriously.

I am anxious to reopen (hoping for early June, if it is safe for all) so I can continue to bring contemporary visual art and art workshops to the Silver City community and our out of town visitors.  Your financial support at this time can help make this happen in a timely manner.

Raffle:  For each $25 donated, 1 ticket will be entered into a raffle to win an original photopolymer etching by Karen Hymer or a copy of her book "Age & Seduction".  All past donations, including private ones, will automatically be entered.  There will be 8 winners drawn on  June 5th.   I will be ending the campaign on that day. 

Donated funds will be used to cover repairing my recently cracked front window and ongoing operating expenses such as utilities, insurance, maintenance, and property taxes.   We are raring to reopen and to welcome all of you back!
